Firstly we would like to congratulate all who entered the annual Aidan Meller Art Prize with Headington School. It was a tough task judging such a talented group of individuals. Alongside the teachers, parents and pupils we celebrated the talent and diversity of the young artists and we are already looking forward to next years event.
Taking inspiration from Henry Moore’s famous underground drawings that he created during the second world war. The students created work that impressively communicated the same emotion and turbulence felt at that time. The use of mixed media, abstracted forms and surprising viewpoints created by such young students was very exciting to see.
Aidan Meller awarded first place to Alice Stapley, second to Ellie Hinnells and third to Mia Walsh.
We would like to thank everyone who attended, the teachers for nurturing young talent and the pupils for the excellent work.
See you next year!
